Jumping right into the features. It looks sturdy for a budget phone because of the poly-carbon body.

The 6.22-inch display has a notch finish and the back has a glossy finish. Coming to the display, HD works well but the presence of tiny bezels might ruin your experience if you are used to bezel-less phones.

The design isn’t unique to the Y81, having seen similar designs for the Vivo V9 among other phones.

Android 8.1 is the OS on the Y81 with the MediaTek MT6762 chipset that is a tad disappointing considering the price of the phone.

They have built the Funtouch OS 4.0 on top of Android and Vivo have done a splendid job in keeping the interface clean.

The primary camera is 13MP and the front selfie camera is 5MP. The cameras are a bit of hit or a miss depending on the subject. Although, the Bokeh effect is very good with pictures taken on this phone.

Showing it’s might, the Y81 has a face unlock feature along with the fingerprint sensor which is of flagship standard with great responsiveness.

The battery on the phone is 3260 mAh that is more than enough to run for a day.

As budget smartphones come, this is your average budget smartphone with no extra bells and whistles and with features that are standard.
